Self-leveling cement can be divided into cushion self-leveling cement and surface self-leveling cement according to its use. This article mainly introduces these two kinds of self-leveling.
Cushion self-leveling cement
☑Cushion self-leveling cement, as the name implies, is to provide a highly flat foundation ground leveling layer for some floor finishing materials that require high ground flatness.
☑Since its main function is to provide a highly level ground, the requirements for material properties are only high fluidity, high flatness, and no floating dust. There are not too many requirements for decorative effects such as the amount of surface color difference after construction.
☑Cushion self-leveling cement can also be divided into ordinary self-leveling cement and high-strength self-leveling cement according to the characteristics of facing materials and different application scenarios. For wooden floors, carpets, PVC plastic floors, ceramic tiles and other thick floor decoration materials, and places that do not require heavy loads, it is generally recommended to use ordinary self-leveling cement. For thin-finish floor decoration materials such as epoxy floor paint, and used in underground parking lots, factories, warehouses and other places with heavy rolling, it is recommended to use high-strength self-leveling cement.
Surface self-leveling cement
☑Production process surface layer self-leveling cement, as the name implies, is that this kind of cement floor material can be used directly as a decorative surface after construction, which is our more popular cement floor and colored cement floor now.
☑Compared with the self-leveling cement of the cushion layer, the self-leveling cement of the surface layer has higher requirements on the formula of materials, the selection of raw materials, the production process, and the construction process. In addition to the fluidity, flatness, strength, and hardness of the material, it also requires higher technical requirements such as color uniformity and crack resistance after construction.
In short, cement self-leveling can generally be divided into cushion self-leveling cement and surface self-leveling cement, and there are certain differences between the two.
