Recently, some customers have asked whether self-leveling is necessary for the installation of PVC flooring. As a vinyl flooring supplier, we have made relevant answers.

❶Ordinary cement concrete foundations can be laid with PVC floor without self-leveling construction. Both coil and sheet floor can be laid, but it must meet: no sand, no hollowing, no cracking, good ground strength, Solid and firm; ground humidity requirements: less than 4.5%; 2mm error within 2 meters; no grease, paint, paint, glue, chemical solution and colored pigments on the ground. If the above requirements are not met, then self-leveling must be done before the PVC floor can be laid.

❷The surface of the solid wood floor can also be directly laid with PVC floor. Due to the poor stability of the solid wood floor, it is recommended to use white glue and wood powder to repair the floor joints and the floor surface. After the PVC floor is laid, the floor surface will have obvious seams. seam blots. Note: Self-leveling construction cannot be performed on the surface of the wooden floor. If you want to do self-leveling, you must first remove the wooden floor.


 

❸The vitrified brick foundation can also be directly laid with PVC floor, but after the construction is completed, there will be obvious traces of vitrified floor joints on the floor surface. If you mind marks, you can also use putty to repair the gaps, polish and lay the PVC floor after smoothing, the effect will be better.

❹The epoxy floor cannot be directly self-leveling construction (if self-leveling construction is required, there will be layering problems), it can directly carry out the construction of the PVC floor, and the surface of the floor should be roughened and degreased before construction (referring to the surface ground with grease), and then the PVC floor can be laid.

❺The surface of the steel plate cannot be self-leveling, and the PVC floor can be laid directly. Note that the welds and joints of the steel plate must be repaired and polished with atomic ash before laying the PVC floor. But the surface of the laid floor is uneven. For those with protruding patterns on the surface of the steel plate, the surface of the steel plate must be repaired and leveled with putty before laying. Ordinary putty has poor adhesion and cannot be repaired, otherwise it will be delaminated and affect the laying quality.
