In October, the monthly export volume of glass fiber and products was 131,400 tons, a month-on-month increase of 10.14%; the export value was 243 million US dollars, a month-on-month increase of 0.25%. Among them: fiber and chopped mat products, mechanically bonded fabrics and glass fiber cloth impregnated products, the monthly export volume in October was 84,600 tons, 31,300 tons and 15,500 tons, accounting for 64% and 24% and 12% respectively.
Among the 34 specific tax items, the top three in single-month export volume are glass fiber roving, glass fiber chopped strands with a length of no more than 50 mm, and glass fiber chemically bonded mat, with an export volume of 49,900 tons respectively. , 14,800 tons, and 13,500 tons, the export volume of the three types of products accounted for 59.5% of the total export volume.
In October, the export products with the largest month-on-month growth were chemically bonded glass fiber mesh mats, other chemically bonded glass fiber compact fabrics, and glass fiber roving mesh woven fabrics with a width of no more than 30 cm. They are 236%, 212% and 205% respectively.
From January to October 2022, the cumulative import volume of glass fiber and products in China is 101,900 tons; the cumulative import value is 752 million US dollars. In October, the import volume of glass fiber and products was 9,400 tons, a month-on-month increase of 28.77%; the import value was US$59 million, a month-on-month decrease of 14.47%. Among them: the monthly imports of fiber and chopped mat products, mechanically bonded fabrics and glass fiber cloth impregnated products were 6,400 tons, 1,900 tons, and 1,100 tons, accounting for 68%, 20%, and 10,000 tons respectively 12%.
Among the 34 specific tax items, the top three imports in a single month are glass fiber chopped strands with a length of no more than 50 mm, glass fiber chopped strands with a length of more than 50 mm, and glass fiber roving. The import volumes are respectively 3,200 tons, 1,800 tons, and 1,200 tons, and the imports of the three types of products accounted for 65.07% of the total imports.
Products with a relatively large month-on-month increase in imports in October include other glass fiber mesh woven fabrics with a width of more than 30 cm, glass fiber filament plain fabrics with a width of more than 30 cm (uncoated or laminated), and a width of no more than 30 cm. Close-knit plain weave (not coated or laminated) of fiberglass yarns.
In October 2022, China's monthly exports of glass fiber and products have experienced positive growth for the first time after falling for four consecutive months, but it is difficult for the global economy to find signs of recovery. Affected by the impact of the global economic recovery process, global inflation has become a new challenge to the world economy, and the EU and Turkey have continuously launched anti-dumping, anti-subsidy investigations and sunset reviews on glass fibers and products originating in China and Egypt, as well as re-exported products. In the long run, the export and foreign trade situation of China's glass fiber and its products is not optimistic.
